Enterprise Connections supported by the IIoTA™ Industrial Internet of Things Appliance
For a typical interface with Enterprise (IT) applications, traditional platforms provide APIs for you to write code. Not so with the IIoTA™ (Industrial Internet of Things Appliance).
The IIoTA™ goes a step further and delivers with Transports plus an Integrated Database Server.
A Transport is a connection to a database server on the Enterprise side. The IIoTA™ can be used as a gateway between your factory floor (OT) network to the enterprise (IT) network. Instantly map data to and from the database server using the IIoTA™.
To see how the IIoTA™ connects to a database server, watch the video named "Connecting to a SQL Database (Creating a Transport)."
The IIoTA™ is the world's first Integrated Database Server Appliance. It allows for "IT Ride-thru". This means that an Enterprise Network connection is not required. Data can be captured locally. If connected to the Enterprise-level and there is an enterprise network failure, there is no need to worry! The IIoTA™ has store and forward capabilities.

Types of Transports Supported by the IIoTA™:
DB • HTTP • IFS • iTAC • JMS
MSMQ • TCP • WATSON • WMQ • WS_SOAP
Types of Databases Supported by the IIoTA™:
MS SQL Server • Oracle • MySQL • IBM/DB2
IBM/DB2400 • HANA • MongoDB • Postgres

Device Connections supported by the IIoTA™
The IIoTA's™ innovative technology securely identifies devices on the factory floor. This smart technology allows the user smooth set up and configuration of device communication through the point-and-click nature of the IIoTA™.
To see how the IIoTA™ communicates to devices, watch the Data Commander™ video named "Connecting to a Device (PLC)." Just a reminder, the IIoTA™ is the same form factor as the Data Commander™ but with added benefits and features.
